First, a remarkable shot here. There are a lot of cat shots, but this one definitely makes a difference.
Vision & Originality: A clear shot of the paws, a focus point not considered much in cat-photography. At second view, the nose stood out as that seems to be the real point of focus, but amazingly you managed to give the paws a great deal of attention. What I personally missed is the eyes - I myself am a cat person, and somehow this photo seems out of place because I can't see it's eyes, but in contrary, that's what gives this photo originality.
Technique: Nothing much to say about that. Solid shot, good focus and maintenance of details, and a proper white-balance which doesn't dominate the picture. The blur and bloom at the right paw (left in the picture) gives a sense of direction with regards to the source of light, which is a key element in many photos.
Impact: I pretty much summed it all up in the above wall of text, so there's nothing to add here. Astonishing shot.
Well this simply gets a full 100% due to the fact my cat loving girlfriend let out a small squeal of delight when she saw this.
The focal point is amazing, to get the nostrils there right in focus and the small blur on the forward paw is wonderful.
I would be (and would do if i had wall room) pleased to hang this on the wall. The colour is great, the focus is great and the effect is so appealing it's unreal.
In fact I am really really finding it hard to say anything bad about this! And for me that's a record
